Mechanical Rotating Equipment Supervisor - Maintenance OFFSHORE (FLNG-FPSO)VALID BOSIET IS MUSTPerform installation, alignment, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, etc.). Conduct routine and predictive maintenance using vibration analysis and other condition monitoring tools. Main tasks and responsibilities :Equipment ManagementDevelop daily maintenance, upkeep, and repair plans for various rotating equipment on LNG (liquefied natural gas) vessels, and reasonably schedule inspection times and cycles to ensure equipment remains in good operating condition;Coordinate human and material resources to organize and implement major overhauls, return-to-factory repairs, and other work for key rotating equipment;Organize the monitoring, recording, and analysis of rotating equipment operating status, promptly identify potential failure risks through various monitoring methods, and take corresponding measures to resolve them;Lead the statistics and analysis of rotating equipment-related data (such as equipment availability rate, failure rate, and OEE);Lead the establishment of technical files for key rotating equipment on the vessel, including but not limited to: operating status, operating parameters, repair records, maintenance logs, failure analysis, spare parts consumption records, and renovation/optimization records;Review material requisition forms, project repair orders, and measurement reports for rotating equipment, and ensure proper archiving;In the event of equipment failures, promptly organize personnel for emergency repairs to ensure the equipment resumes normal operation as soon as possible, minimize impact on the vessel’s normal operations, analyze the root causes of failures, summarize lessons learned, and propose improvement measures to reduce equipment failure rates;Optimize and control expenditures for rotating equipment maintenance and upkeep;Ensure the operation and maintenance of rotating equipment comply with relevant safety standards and regulations to safeguard personnel and equipment safety;Coordinate and communicate with other departments and positions to ensure the operation of rotating equipment aligns with the vessel’s overall operational requirements;Coordinate external resources such as equipment suppliers, outsourcing maintenance teams, and onshore repair workshops to resolve issues encountered during operation;Review the selection and technical parameters of new equipment, and assist in installation and commissioning to ensure new equipment meets production needs;Lead project management for equipment updates, transformations, and upgrades, organize technical personnel to formulate detailed update plans, supervise the update construction process, ensure the work is completed on time with high quality, and achieve the expected performance improvement goals;Maintain close communication with the production department to anticipate production plans and task arrangements, reasonably allocate mechanical equipment resources based on production needs, ensure production equipment meets the schedule requirements of production tasks, and provide strong support for a smooth production process;Promptly coordinate and resolve production stagnation or inefficiency caused by key rotating equipment issues to ensure continuity and stability of the production process;Adjust and optimize the process parameters of key rotating equipment, accurately set and fine-tune operating parameters according to production needs and quality standards to ensure equipment operates under optimal process conditions, thereby achieving dual improvements in production efficiency and product quality. Team ManagementLead team members to participate in external professional training, technical seminars, and other activities to broaden the team’s professional and technical horizons, stay updated on industry cutting-edge developments, and introduce new technical concepts and methods to the company;Organize and conduct safety training and operational skill training for rotating equipment to improve crew familiarity with equipment and operational proficiency;Provide technical support and professional guidance on rotating equipment to other personnel on board, assisting them in better operating and maintaining the equipment;Establish a skill evaluation and incentive mechanism for rotating equipment staff, regularly assess team members’ skill levels, and provide corresponding rewards or training opportunities based on evaluation results to motivate employees to learn skills and improve themselves, thereby promoting continuous improvement of the team’s skill level;Reasonably assign work tasks to team members, assign the right people to the right positions based on their professional expertise and work experience, give full play to everyone’s strengths, and focus on cultivating employees’ multi-skill development to enhance the overall capabilities of the team;Coordinate relationships within the team and with other departments, quickly resolve work conflicts among team members and collaboration issues between departments, ensure efficient team operation, and contribute to achieving the company’s overall operational goals.
