Senior- Level Quality Assurance

The Brief Job Description of Head:The incumbent will be responsible for the following domains: Establishing and standardization of process control activities in Steel Melting Shop and Forge Shop. Manage and control all metallurgical activities, Process Control, Quality Assurance, QMS and product / process / technology development initiatives of the organization. Overall responsibility for the quality of the products (ingots and forgings). Management and periodical review of QMS, EMS, Marine Certification, TPG PRI, IBR, BIS, NABL, etc. Development of human resources and metallurgical know-how to ensure continuity by fostering culture of improvement of process to optimize quality and cost and development of new products. Systematic logging and analyzing of NCs to identify root cause and implementation of CAPA. QRM preparation and presentation to management. RCA, CA & PA for any major rejections or any irregular incidents. Maintenance of management systems- ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 17025. Review of existing documents, revise of SOP, WIs as required. Attending and preparation RCA, CA & PA for customer complaints and maintenance of summary sheets. Monitoring of process performance and product performance. Conducting failure analysis. To train and develop subordinates.Reporting to: Technical Director - MD Reportees: Team Leaders, Engineers & InspectorsDomain Expertise Required: Strong expertise in steel melting, forging, ingots, and process standardization. Hands-on experience with QMS, ISO 9001/14001/17025, NABL, BIS, IBR, and audits. RCA, CAPA, QRM, failure analysis, and handling major rejections/NCs. Customer complaint handling, certification coordination, and management reporting. Team management, training, and building a continuous improvement culture.Qualification, Experience: B.Tech/ M.Tech (Mechanical/Metallurgy) from reputed Engineering institute. Minimum 20 years of experience in Quality Assurance. Preferred age group: 50 – 55 years
