Job Title:Tax Manager- Indirect TaxDepartment:Taxation Job Location:KolkataJob Purpose: The Tax Manager Indirect Tax will be responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with all indirect tax laws, primarily GST. The role involves tax planning, litigation management, audits, advisory, and process improvement to mitigate tax risks and optimize tax efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C, etc.) Review monthly reconciliations between books, GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant provisions of tax laws, as applicable to the company. Handle GST notices, audits, investigations (DGGI, departmental audits) Draft replies to SCNs, attend hearings, and coordinate with consultants/legal counsels Track and manage ongoing litigations and compliance timelines Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and authorities Partner with finance, operations, and supply chain teams Support statutory and internal auditsQualifications & Experience:Chartered Accountant / MBA (Finance). 5-6 years of experience in indirect taxation (GST), preferably in e-commerce domain.
