ECM (Enterprise Content Management) QA

MapleRecord is building a Canada-first Records Management and Information Governance platform for municipalities. We are looking for a QA Analyst with experience testing Enterprise Content Management (ECM) or Records Management systems, who understands document-heavy, compliance-driven applications.This role focuses on functional quality, data integrity, and compliance validation, not just UI testing.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform functional, system, and regression testing for ECM / Records Management workflowsValidate records lifecycle (creation, classification, retention, disposition)Test document ingestion, metadata accuracy, search, and retrievalValidate permissions, roles, and access controlsTest audit trails, versioning, and compliance featuresExecute API testing for backend services (Python-based APIs)Perform integration testing across frontend (React), backend, and document servicesCollaborate closely with architects, developers, and product ownersCreate and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and defect reportsRequired Skills & ExperienceExperience testing ECM / Records Management systems (e.g., OpenText, Alfresco, SharePoint, FileNet, or similar)Strong understanding of document-centric workflowsExperience with:Functional and regression testingMetadata and data validationRole-based access control (RBAC)Hands-on API testing experience (Postman or similar)Ability to test compliance-driven features (audit logs, retention policies)Nice to HaveExposure to public sector or regulated environmentsExperience testing AI-driven features (classification, extraction, search)Basic SQL or data validation skillsAutomation exposure (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress – optional)What We’re Looking ForQA who understands ECM concepts, not just generic web appsSomeone who can think in records lifecycle and complianceDetail-oriented and comfortable challenging requirementsExperience LevelMid-level QA (domain knowledge matters more than years)
