GIS Developer

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain custom GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions. Analyze user requirements to develop and optimize geospatial workflows and tools. Integrate GIS applications with various enterprise systems and APIs. Develop scripts and tools for data automation, analysis, and processing (Python/ArcPy). Perform spatial data modeling, geoprocessing, and complex spatial analysis. Maintain and optimize spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, SQL Server with spatial extensions). Create interactive maps, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or Mapbox. Conduct performance tuning, testing, and documentation of GIS solutions. Provide support and troubleshooting for GIS-related issues and enhancements. Stay updated with emerging GIS technologies, tools, and best practices.Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in GIS development. Proficiency inESRI ArcGIS Suite(ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online). Must haveexperience in migrating Geocortex Essentials and custom HTML 5 web applications, related workflows and controls into ESRI’s JavaScript API version 4. Must haveexperience working in VertiGIS Studio Suite of tools and ESRI Experience BuilderStrong programming skills inPython ,JavaScript (Leaflet/ArcGIS API for JS) , or.NETfor GIS applications. Experience withspatial databases : PostGIS, SQL Server, Oracle Spatial. Hands-on experience withFME ,GDAL , or other ETL/data transformation tools. Knowledge of web development frameworks and APIs (REST/SOAP). Experience integrating GIS with other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM). Familiarity with open-source GIS platforms (QGIS, GeoServer, MapServer) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and documentation skills.Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in GIS (e.g., Esri Technical Certification). Experience working with cloud GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS Enterprise on AWS/Azure). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
