Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant (Team Leading Experience) - Pune Onsite Role, will be responsible for maintaining daily accounting records in Tally and ensuring accurate and timely booking of income, expenses, and purchases. The role includes reconciliation activities, preparation of statutory returns, adherence to SOPs, and systematic documentation.Key Responsibilities:Perform daily accounting entries in Tally including:Expense bookingIncome bookingPurchase bookingMaintain accurate classification of ledger heads and ensure error-free data entry.Conduct periodic reconciliation of:IncomeExpensesBank statementsVendor and customer balancesGST reconciliationEnsure timely collection and verification of bills/invoices from relevant departments.Preparation of statutory returns, including:Monthly GST return (GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B)Quarterly TDS returnAssist in handling GST and TDS queries and maintaining working papers.Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure 100% compliance.Maintain systematic and well-organised physical and digital documentation of all accounting records.Coordinate with internal departments to resolve document-related and accounts-related discrepancies.Assist in month-end closing activities and MIS preparation when required.Support the CA during internal/external audits by providing required information and schedules.Can with relevant team leading experience of 3+ years can applyRequired Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance or equivalent.3–5 years of relevant accounting experience (Travel industry experience preferred but not mandatory).Proficiency in Tally ERP and MS Excel.Good understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliances (GST & TDS).Strong attention to detail and discipline in following SOPs.Ability to maintain organized documentation and meet deadlines.
