Join the $1B impact rocketship.What We Need in Our Senior MERN Stack DeveloperWe’re looking for a passionate Sr. MERN Stack Developer to help us build and scale our Shopify SaaS applications. You’ll be responsible for developing robust features end-to-end using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. You’ll work closely with our product and design teams to deliver seamless, high-performance user experiences. This role also offers the opportunity to shape our codebase, influence architecture decisions, and grow into a core engineering leader as we scale.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and scale robust web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) with a strong focus on long-term maintainability.Take end-to-end ownership of key modules and features, from technical design to production rollout.Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practices across the team.Mentor junior developers by providing technical guidance, feedback, and support for skill growth.Actively contribute to architecture discussions, scalability planning, and technical decision-making.Participate in and help drive agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) with a leadership mindset.Identify, debug, and resolve complex production issues and performance bottlenecks.Continuously suggest improvements to engineering processes, team efficiency, and product quality.Gradually take on people management responsibilities, including task allocation, progress tracking, and supporting team collaboration.Required Skills and Qualifications3–5 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining real-world applications using the MERN stack.Strong expertise in React.js and Node.js, with a solid understanding of component architecture, state management, and RESTful API design.Proven experience with MongoDB, Express.js, Git-based workflows, and effective debugging practices.Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with an eye for performance and scalability.Ability to analyze problems deeply, make sound technical decisions, and design scalable solutions.Demonstrated ownership mindset with the ability to work independently without micromanagement.Experience or strong interest in code reviews, mentoring, and guiding other developers.Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across product, design, and engineering teams.Working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and best practices for writing secure, scalable, and production-ready code.Interest in people management and technical leadership, with readiness to grow into a Product Team Lead role.Bonus SkillsExperience with Remix, Next.js, or TypeScript.Previous work on Shopify apps or eCommerce platforms.Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, or cloud hosting (like Vercel or AWS).Contributions to open-source or side projects.Familiarity with performance optimization techniques.What we offer?The opportunity to play a pivotal role in a fast-growing startup.The chance to work with a dedicated and passionate team.A platform to innovate, learn, and contribute at every step.Why Helixo?Work with a team that values collaboration, learning, and innovation.Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.Competitive remuneration and benefits package.Contribute to building tools that empower thousands of e-commerce merchants.
