We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of security, compliance, and data protection for our customers and internal systems.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to oversee and strengthen PracticeSuite’s security posture across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments. This role will work on cybersecurity operations, incident response, compliance initiatives, and security architecture, while collaborating closely with engineering, IT, compliance, and leadership teams.The position will be based in our Kochi office and will work the 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST shift to align with global operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity Operations & Monitoring- Oversee SIEM, SOC activities, vulnerability management, and threat detection. - Conduct regular risk assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans. - Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation efforts.Application & Infrastructure Security- Ensure secure development practices (DevSecOps) across web, cloud, and on-prem environments. - Review system architecture, code, and configurations for security weaknesses. - Implement and enforce identity and access management (IAM) controls.Compliance & Governance- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other relevant regulatory frameworks. - Support internal and external security audits, risk assessments, and client security questionnaires. - Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures.Collaboration & Awareness- Partner with engineering, IT, product, and compliance teams to embed security into all processes. - Lead security awareness training and phishing simulations for employees. - Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. - 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with 2+ years in a leadership or lead role. - Strong hands-on experience with: - Network security, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) - SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS - Vulnerability management and incident response - Solid understanding of HIPAA and healthcare security requirements. - Experience with secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices.Preferred Qualifications- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+. - Experience working in healthcare software or SaaS environments. - Prior experience supporting US-based clients or operations.Soft Skills- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities - Excellent communication and documentation skills - Ability to work independently during evening/night shifts - Proactive, detail-oriented, and security-focused mindsetWhat We Offer- Competitive compensation - Opportunity to lead security initiatives for a growing healthcare technology platform - Collaborative and innovation-driven work environment - Career growth and leadership opportunities
