Manager / Senior Manager – HR & IR LOCATION : COCHIN This role is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Human Resources and Industrial Relations at the Cochin location. The incumbent will play a strategic and operational role in driving HR initiatives, maintaining industrial harmony, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting business objectives through effective people management. Roles and responsibilities: Recruitment Selection Attract, retain, and motivate staff. Manage end-to-end recruitment processes. Conduct interviews, coordinate onboarding, and manage probation reviews. Develop job descriptions and analyze role requirements. Employee Relations Advise management and staff on labor relations issues. Ensure compliance with labor legislation. Lead labor contract negotiations and grievance handling. Maintain harmonious industrial relations and counsel employees. HR Administration Reporting Manage payroll administration. Prepare monthly HR reports and MIS. Maintain HR policies and practices. Performance Talent Management Implement and monitor performance management systems. Drive talent management initiatives and ensure standardization. Change Management Employee Welfare Lead organizational development and morale-boosting programs. Conduct organizational surveys. Implement wellness initiatives for employee well-being. Industrial Relations (IR) Handle legal issues, statutory compliance, and liaison with government departments. Manage union relations, collective bargaining, and grievance resolution. Attend conciliation proceedings and brief legal counsel on labor matters. Budget Cost Management Drive HR cost-saving initiatives and manage HR budgets. Educational Qualifications: Postgraduate in HR Management (MBA/PGDHRM) or MSW/PGDBM with HR specialization. Diploma in Labor Law. Experience: 8+ years in HR with strong exposure to labor relations. Skills in negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and leadership. Key Competencies: Integrity, ethics, and empathy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
