Sr Manager R&D - Small Kitchen Appliances

Align to the corporate TRM &PRM policy Responsible for achieving TRM & PRM targets of the division in stipulated time. Responsible to drive product development through PLM for Small Kitchen Appliances product categories like Mixer Grinders, Breakfast Appliances, Pressure Cookers & Kitchenware products. Drive Inhouse manufacturing/ Localization initiatives for Breakfast Appliances. Drive new product development / product enhancement based on market information and customer requirements and through Standardization, Platformization & Modularization approach Responsible for end to end new product development cycle consisting of Competition benchmarking, Product concept ideation, Specs finalization, Development, Engineering designing, Prototyping & evaluation, Design reviews, DFMEA, Mould designing & development, R&D Testing’s & validation, Pilot lot production, Post launch support. Responsible for new product costing, conducting value engg. exercises & achieve gross margin targets. Vendor scouting & development. Ensure all new product development goes through NPD stage gate process. Formulate Divisional R&D objectives and strategy plan Make a detailed roles & authority plan for the R&D employees in the division Drive continuous product improvements & plan corrective & preventive actions to minimize product failure rate in turn to minimize cost of poor quality. Mentor projects and R&D initiatives for the division by providing strategic and tactical directions Engage in giving necessary support to Central Service in the form of product training, technical support.Job Requirements Minimum 15 years of experience with at least 10 years of experience in leading R&D function for Small Kitchen Appliances product categories particularly Mixer grinders & Breakfast Appliances. B.Tech or equivalent Adequate domain knowledge of product designing & development, Plastic molding, Mold development processes is must. Should have good understanding of NPD stage gate processes Should have thorough understanding of Mixergrinder/Small Kitchen Appliances Category Manufacturing Eco System in India. Proven Leadership abilities with experience in project management Good Communication skills Should be ready to travel extensively
