Engineering Manager – Solar PV & BESS Plant DesignLocation: Gurugram, IndiaExperience: 10–15 YearsEmployment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design and delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects for international markets such as Australia, USA, Europe, and Middle East.The role involves managing engineering design, ensuring compliance with global standards, and leading a team to deliver high-quality, bankable projects.Key Responsibilities1. Solar PV EngineeringLead design of utility-scale solar projects (50MW–500MW+)Manage DC & AC system design, cable sizing, layouts, and SLDsReview energy yield (PVSyst) and optimize plant performanceCoordinate with civil, structural, and equipment teams2. BESS EngineeringDesign grid-scale battery systems (50MWh–1000MWh+)Define system architecture (AC/DC coupled)Ensure safety compliance (NFPA / IEC standards)Support vendor selection and technical evaluations3. Grid & Power SystemsHandle grid connection requirements (AU / US / EU / ME)Lead studies: load flow, short circuit, protection coordinationCoordinate with utilities and grid operators4. Substation EngineeringDesign HV/MV substations (33kV–400kV)Manage protection systems, SCADA, and IEC 61850 systemsReview earthing and metering systems5. Documentation & Client HandlingPrepare high-quality technical documents and reportsHandle client, Independent Engineer (IE), and LTA queriesEnsure compliance with international standards6. Team LeadershipLead and manage a team of 15–25 engineersEnsure timely delivery of multiple projectsTrain team on international standards and best practicesRequirementsEducation: B.E./B.Tech (Electrical) | M.Tech preferredExperience:10+ years in Solar PV / Power SystemsExperience in international projects (mandatory)At least 5 utility-scale solar projectsBESS experience preferredSkills:Solar PV & BESS design expertisePower system studies (ETAP / DIgSILENT / PSS/E)Knowledge of global standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, etc.)Strong leadership & communication skillsLanguage: Professional English (mandatory)Travel: Willing to travel internationally
