Engineering Lead (Fullstack)

Role OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on Engineering Lead with strong full-stack expertise to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable applications. This role requires a balance of technical depth, leadership capability, and execution excellence.The ideal candidate will actively contribute to development while leveraging modern AI tools and practices to accelerate engineering productivity, improve code quality, and optimize delivery cycles.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical LeadershipLead architecture, design, and development using React.js, Node.js, and AWSDesign and implement scalable APIs using REST and GraphQLDefine best practices for API design, versioning, and documentation (Swagger / GraphQL schema management)Ensure high standards for code quality, testing, and performance optimizationDrive cloud-native development and deployment strategies on AWSAI-Driven Engineering & ExecutionLeverage AI-powered development tools (e.g., code assistants, debugging tools, test generation tools) to improve team productivityIdentify opportunities to integrate AI into development workflows (code generation, documentation, testing, monitoring)Promote AI-assisted best practices to accelerate feature delivery and reduce technical debtEvaluate and adopt emerging AI tools that enhance engineering efficiency and product qualityTeam ManagementLead, mentor, and guide a team of engineers across frontend and backendConduct code reviews, technical discussions, and career development sessionsFoster a collaborative, high-performance, and ownership-driven cultureProject & Delivery ManagementCollaborate with product and design teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutionsOwn sprint delivery, timelines, and release qualityIdentify risks, dependencies, and ensure proactive resolutionAgile & Process ExcellenceDrive Agile methodologies and participate in all ceremoniesContinuously improve engineering processes, tooling, and team efficiencyRequired Skills & QualificationsTechnical SkillsStrong hands-on experience in:Frontend: React.jsBackend: Node.jsAPI Technologies: RESTful APIs and GraphQL (schema design, resolvers)Cloud: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway)Experience in API security (JWT, OAuth) and scalable system designStrong understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL)Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practicesAI & Productivity SkillsProficiency in using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to enhance development efficiencyExperience in applying AI for:Code generation and refactoringAutomated testing and documentationDebugging and performance optimizationAbility to guide teams in adopting AI-assisted workflows effectivelyLeadership & Soft SkillsProven experience leading engineering teams (2+ years in a lead role) or strong interest and readiness to transition into a leadership roleStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsTeam player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
