Structural Steel Design -Faculty

Role Summary: We are inviting applications for the position of Senior Faculty in Structural Steel Design from qualified professionals with a strong foundation in teaching and minimum 10 years of core industry experience. The role involves delivering courses aligned with IS 800:2007 and AISC 360-22, with hands-on training in structural analysis , design and steel connection design using STAAD.Pro and RAM Connection. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Teach students structural steel design manually and through software applications. • Deliver lectures and practical sessions based on: o IS 800:2007 (Limit State Method) o AISC 360-22 (LRFD and ASD) • Conduct hands-on training using: o STAAD.Pro – for structural analysis and steel member design. o RAM Connection – for welded and bolted connection detailing. • Share real-world case studies and best practices from industry by demonstrating real projects. • Support academic development and code-based course improvements. • Prepare and update lesson plans, course materials, and code reference • Conduct structured lectures, tutorials, • Structural modeling of steel frames, trusses, and multi-storey structures • Load application and load combination as per Relevant Indian and American Standards • Steel member design with code compliance checks • Interpretation of design results and optimization strategies • Available to take live online sessions on structural steel design and software-based training Minimum Qualifications: • M.Tech in Structural Engineering (mandatory). • 10+ years of core experience in structural steel design (consultancy/field/industry). • Strong working knowledge of: o STAAD.Pro for member design. o RAM Connection for connection design. • Thorough understanding of IS 800:2007 and AISC 360-22.
