Creative Electrical Solutions Specialist

We are seeking an electrician to participate in a unique research initiative that involves capturing daily activities using GoPro cameras. The goal of this project is to help advance human-centered AI research by collecting data on real-world activities. This is a short-term engagement with minimal disruption to your routine, and all necessary equipment will be provided by the organization. As an electrician, you will work indoors in a non-customer-facing role and must have access to a computer and internet connection. You will need to wear a head-mounted GoPro camera for 5 separate days within a 2-week window and record a minimum of 7 hours per day. Your footage will be uploaded to a secure platform at the end of each day, and you will review short clips to delete, anonymize, or consent to each video segment. Participant requirements include being self-employed or having employer consent to record in the work environment, being able to use a computer for basic tasks, and having no children (under 18) present or visiting during the recording period. The household requirements are that all adults in the space must be fluent English speakers and consent to being recorded, and all household members must agree to appear in the footage. No technical expertise is required, but participants who share the same workplace or household should both have a GoPro mounted during the activity. The application process includes shortlisted candidates being contacted for a brief screening, once accepted, the organization will ship all necessary equipment and provide onboarding instructions, participants will receive training on how to record, upload, and review their footage securely.
