Matsya is a small, but extremely talented team with a very flat organisation structure.Job DescriptionDesignation: Junior AnalystKey Responsibilities• The candidate will be responsible for financial modelling, financial analysis, and forming an investment thesis on the sector the analyst is expected to work on• The candidate will be responsible to track down and analyse every industry/company data point that is available in the public domain• The candidate will be responsible for making presentations and presenting convincing ideas to the whole team• The candidate will also be entrusted with a few administrative responsibilities shared by all members of the teamKey Skills and Requirements• Keen interest in capital markets• Candidate must have the ability to fully understand businesses and the sectors in which they operate• Strong skills in financial modelling, analysing income statements-balance sheet-cash flows and valuing companies• Should have prior experience of building operating and financial models of companies and industries• The candidate must know all the basic principles of equity valuation• Exceptional skills in advanced Excel and PowerPoint• Attention to detail is a way of life at Matsya, and thus should be for the candidate also• Candidate must have 1-2 years of relevant work experience (sell-side or buy-side experience is preferred)
