Lead QA Engineer( Automation)

We are seeking a seasonedLead Automation QA Engineerto head our QA team and driveautomation-first quality practicesacross our global product development lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience inautomation frameworks, process governance, team management, and agile delivery .As the QA leader, you willown the testing strategy , guide senior and junior QA engineers, and work closely with product, development, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing applications acrossmultiple environments, geographies, and mobile platforms .Availability during Central Standard Time (CST) working hours is a must.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and leadQA strategy, automation vision, and process frameworksacross the organization. Manage and mentor ateam of QA engineers (junior, senior, and automation specialists) , ensuring best practices in automation and testing. Architect enterprise-level automation solutions usingWebdriverIO, TypeScript, Cucumber, Jenkins, GitLab, npm . Standardize automation frameworks across projects to maximize reusability and efficiency. Collaborate withScrum Masters, Product Owners, Developers, and DevOpsto ensure quality is embedded at every stage of the SDLC. DriveCI/CD integration of automation pipelineswith GitLab and Jenkins. Lead QA planning, execution, and reporting usingZephyr integrated with JIRA . Oversee test execution acrossmulti-environment setups (Dev, Staging, Pre-production, Canada, Mexico, and mobile platforms). Establishtest governance, defect triage processes, and release sign-off procedures . Drive usage ofKibana logs for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting . Oversee and improve testing forSAP E-commerce back office applications . Foster aculture of quality, automation-first mindset, and agile collaboration . Represent QA in leadership discussions and providequality metrics and dashboardsto stakeholders.Required Skills & Experience10+ years of QA experience , with at least6+ years in automation testingand3+ years in team leadership/management . Deep expertise inWebdriverIO, TypeScript, Cucumber, Jenkins, npm, GitLab CI/CD . Proven experience insetting up and scaling QA automation frameworksfor enterprise applications. Strong background inSAP E-commerce back office testing . Proficiency withtest management tools (Zephyr)anddefect tracking (JIRA) . Experience withKibana logs analysisand production issue triaging. Strong exposure tomulti-environment, cross-region, and mobile platform testing . In-depth understanding ofScrum/Agile delivery modelsand test governance. Excellent leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to create and presentQA metrics, dashboards, and quality KPIsfor leadership review.Good to HaveKnowledge ofperformance, scalability, and security testing frameworks . Familiarity withcloud-native QA practices(AWS, GCP, or Azure environments).
