Job Description:
Kinaxis Planner Roles — Expanded (3+ Years Experience, YASH Technologies Context) Demand Planner (Kinaxis RapidResponse) Professionals with 3+ years of experience typically demonstrate strong analytical capability, cross‑functional alignment, and scenario‑based decision making. Core Responsibilities - Maintain, tune, and adjust statistical forecasts using appropriate demand models, segmentation logic, and historical cleansing techniques. - Incorporate customer signals, POS data, distributor inputs, and long‑lead‑time constraints into the demand plan. - Manage demand exceptions including spikes, pushouts, pull‑ins, overrides, and last‑minute customer commits. - Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, stability, and demand variability; drive root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement. - Facilitate demand reviews with commercial, customer service, finance, and SIOP teams to align on consensus demand. - Build and run what‑if scenarios to evaluate demand shifts, new product introductions, and customer allocation strategies. - Support demand planning KPIs and dashboards within RapidResponse, ensuring data quality and planning calendar adherence. Experience Indicators (3+ Years) - Hands‑on experience with statistical forecasting, demand sensing, and causal factor modeling. - Ability to challenge commercial inputs with data‑driven insights. - Comfortable leading monthly demand review cycles and presenting forecast drivers to leadership. Supply Planner (Kinaxis RapidResponse) A 3+ year supply planner is expected to manage constraints, collaborate across functions, and drive feasible supply responses. Core Responsibilities - Convert demand plans into feasible, constraint‑aware supply plans using RapidResponse supply planning worksheets. - Identify material shortages, capacity risks, and expedite requirements; propose mitigation actions. - Optimize material availability, replenishment strategies, and supplier allocations. - Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, and logistics to resolve constraints and execution gaps. - Run constrained and unconstrained supply scenarios to support SIOP, NPI, and risk‑mitigation discussions. - Manage supply exceptions, late POs, supplier delays, and BOM changes. - Support supply planning KPIs such as OTIF, supply adherence, and capacity utilization. Experience Indicators (3+ Years) - Strong understanding of multi‑echelon supply networks and constraint‑based planning. - Ability to drive cross‑functional alignment and influence decisions with scenario outputs. - Experience supporting SIOP cycles and presenting supply risk summaries. Inventory Optimization Planner (Kinaxis IO) At 3+ years, planners are expected to balance service levels with working capital and drive inventory strategy. Core Responsibilities - Set and maintain safety stock, reorder points, and buffer strategies using Kinaxis IO or RapidResponse IO modules. - Analyze inventory drivers (variability, lead time, MOQ, service targets) and recommend optimization actions. - Reduce excess, slow‑moving, and obsolete inventory through structured root‑cause analysis. - Model inventory policies for long‑lead‑time, critical, and high‑variability components. - Provide inventory projections, risk assessments, and scenario analysis for SIOP and financial planning. - Partner with procurement and supply planning to align stocking strategies with supplier capabilities. - Maintain inventory dashboards and ensure data integrity across planning parameters. Experience Indicators (3+ Years) - Proven ability to balance service levels vs. working capital. - Experience with inventory segmentation (ABC/XYZ), variability analysis, and policy simulation. - Ability to explain inventory drivers to leadership in simple, business‑friendly language. Master Production Scheduler (Kinaxis MPS) A 3+ year MPS professional is expected to stabilize production, manage constraints, and ensure execution readiness. Core Responsibilities - Translate demand, supply, and capacity inputs into a stable, executable Master Production Schedule. - Manage frozen, slushy, and flexible planning zones to ensure production stability. - Sequence production based on capacity, constraints, changeover rules, and scheduling agreements. - Ensure MPS aligns with material availability, labor constraints, and equipment capacity. - Track adherence to plan, analyze deviations, and adjust based on real‑time shop‑floor changes. - Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve execution issues. - Support NPI ramp‑ups, engineering changes, and production readiness assessments. Experience Indicators (3+ Years) - Strong understanding of capacity planning, routings, and production constraints. - Experience stabilizing MPS in volatile environments. - Ability to communicate schedule impacts clearly to operations leadership. Scheduler (Finite / Constraint‑Based Scheduling) With 3+ years of experience, schedulers are expected to optimize production flow and respond quickly to disruptions. Core Responsibilities - Build detailed production schedules at work‑center, machine, and resource levels using finite scheduling logic. - Optimize sequencing to reduce changeovers, minimize bottlenecks, and improve throughput. - Manage capacity loading, labor constraints, shift patterns, and maintenance windows. - Re‑schedule efficiently in response to shop‑floor disruptions, material shortages, or equipment downtime. - Provide schedule visibility to operations, supervisors, and shop‑floor teams. - Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cycle time, OEE, and schedule adherence. - Collaborate with MPS, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure realistic and executable schedules. Experience Indicators (3+ Years) - Hands‑on experience with finite scheduling tools and shop‑floor coordination. - Ability to balance competing priorities under time pressure. - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and constraints.
