Not even close.Role: Data EngineerLocation: RemoteRole Overview:We are hiring a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that fuels Joveo's machine learning models and business intelligence. You will work at the intersection of software engineering and data — building pipelines that are reliable, scalable, and production-ready.Key Responsibilities:- Design and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines- Build and manage data warehousing and lakehouse architectures- Ensure data quality, lineage, and observability across all pipelines- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide clean, usable datasets- Optimize query performance and infrastructure costs on cloud platforms- Document data models, pipelines, and ingestion processes thoroughlyRequired Skills & Qualifications:- Strong experience with Python or Scala for data pipeline development- Proficiency with pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, or similar)- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake)- Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling best practices- Experience with streaming frameworks (Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Flink)- Familiarity with dbt, data contracts, or modern data stack toolingEqual Opportunity Employer:Joveo is an equal opportunity employer.
