You will not inherit a system; you will build it. From Day 1, you own every hands-on aspect of standing up Aletra's internal IT: devices, identity, security tooling, compliance evidence. Senior Cloud Platform Engineer owns governance, policy approval, and audit narrative. You own everything else. This is not a help-desk role; it is a builder role for someone who wants to take a company from zero to SOC 2 Type I-ready in 6 months and operate that system thereafter.Why NowAletra is the Unified Data Security Platform for cross-border companies. A year from now, the role moves from build mode to sustained operations and audit liaison.What You'll Bring5 years of combined experience in IT operations at a SaaS company or comparable cloud-native environment.2+ years of hands-on experience with Mobile Device Management, Scalefusion strongly preferred; Kandji, Jamf, or Intune also acceptable.2+ years of Google Workspace administration, including Shared Drives, DLP rules, and audit log analysis.Personally set up Apple Business Manager (ABM) for at least one prior employer. This is non-negotiable.Personally ran a SOC 2 evidence collection cycle at a previous employer using a modern compliance automation platform. You should be able to name the audit firm, describe the platform you used, and describe what fieldwork looked like.Working knowledge of identity tooling - Google IdP, Okta, SAML/OIDC, SCIM provisioning.Light scripting capability - bash, AppleScript, Google Apps Script - enough to automate repetitive tasks. You should not be doing twenty manual clicks for things that can be scripted in ten lines.Communication maturity. You will be the only IT person, talking to candidates, employees, auditors, vendors, and customers. Written and verbal English to a professional standard.Comfort with ambiguity. You are the first operations hire. On Day 1, you walk into a Google Workspace. Everything else, you build.A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.At least one of: Apple Certified IT Professional, Google Workspace Administrator, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, or comparable. Multiple is a plus.What's a PlusPrior experience at a pre-Series A SaaS startup. You know what /"lean/" actually means in IT.Familiarity with AWS - IAM, CloudTrail, and basic networking. You do not need to be a DevOps engineer; you need to know enough to be the IT Admin.Exposure to ISO/IEC 27001 or NIST CSF in addition to SOC 2.Experience with the Indian vendor ecosystem (Keka, AuthBridge, Scalefusion).
