Location: Remote within IndiaOverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Data Architect to lead the assessment, optimization, and transformation of enterprise-wide data architecture. This role requires a self-driven individual who can independently analyze complex data ecosystems, collaborate with diverse teams, and define a strategic roadmap to streamline and modernize data platforms.The ideal candidate will bring a holistic view of data across systems, identify inefficiencies, and drive initiatives that improve scalability, performance, governance, and cost efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct a comprehensive assessment of existing data stores, data flows, and data platforms across the enterpriseDefine and implement a target-state enterprise data architecture aligned with business and technology goalsIdentify redundancies, inefficiencies, and gaps in current data management practices and recommend improvementsDesign strategies for data consolidation, optimization, and lifecycle managementEstablish and enforce data governance, data quality, and metadata management frameworksWork closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, DevOps, Business, Analytics) to understand current systems and drive alignmentDefine best practices for data modeling, storage, access, and integration patternsDrive adoption of modern data platforms and architectures (cloud, data lakes, data warehouses, real-time streaming)Provide architectural guidance for new initiatives involving data integration, migration, and transformationLead technical discussions and influence stakeholders to adopt recommended solutionsRequired Skills & Experience10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise architectureStrong experience working with multiple data platforms such as:Relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis)Data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)Data lakes / lakehouse architecturesHands-on experience with data integration and streaming technologies (Kafka, ETL/ELT tools)Experience in cloud environments (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable)Strong understanding of data modeling (OLTP/OLAP), schema design, and data lifecycle managementExperience with data governance frameworks, data quality tools, and metadata managementAbility to analyze complex systems and propose scalable, practical solutionsStrong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teamsNice to HaveExperience in telecom, OSS/BSS, or large-scale enterprise environmentsFamiliarity with microservices architecture and API-driven systemsExposure to monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace)Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)Knowledge of AI/ML data pipelines and advanced analytics platformsKey AttributesHighly self-driven and proactive, with the ability to independently deep dive into complex environmentsStrong problem-solving and analytical mindsetAbility to influence without authority and drive change across teamsComfortable working in a fast-paced, distributed environment
