Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer with expertise in steel and metal fabrication to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the structural integrity of industrial sheds, pre-engineered buildings (PEB), steel structures, and specialized metal components. You will bridge the gap between design and manufacturing, ensuring all structures are safe, durable, and compliant with relevant building codes (IS, AISC, Eurocode). Key ResponsibilitiesStructural Design & Analysis: Perform structural calculations, load analysis (wind, seismic, live loads), and member selection for steel structures.Modeling & Drafting: Create detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and GA (General Arrangement) drawings using AutoCAD and Tekla Structures.Connection Design: Design connections (welded/bolted), base plates, and stiffeners for steel components.Material Specification: Select appropriate metals (Mild Steel, HRCA, CRCA, Stainless Steel, Aluminum) based on structural requirements.Fabrication & Quality Assurance: Review shop drawings, supervise fabrication processes, and ensure quality compliance.Site Support: Coordinate with site engineers for erection, provide technical advice, and resolve design-related issues during construction.Estimation & Documentation: Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimations, and technical reports. Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Experience: 3-10+ years of experience in structural design, specifically within the steel fabrication or PEB industry.Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structures, ETABS, or SAP2000.Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Indian Standards (IS 800:2007) or international codes (AISC, Eurocode).Key Competencies: Analytical thinking, strong problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail. Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) licensure or Chartership (MIStructE or MICE).Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).Familiarity with sheet metal part design.
