Japanese Language Specialist – CLM (remote role)

Role OverviewOur customer, a global media & entertainment company, is looking for a Japanese-language specialist to join a growing team for an initial 6-month period, starting in May, and will be remote from India, requiring availability aligned with Japan business hours. This role focuses on Japanese‑language localisation, stakeholder communication, and supporting the successful delivery of a technology‑driven CLM implementation.Key ResponsibilitiesTranslate CLM (Agiloft) platform user interface content into Japanese, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and contextual relevanceSupport localisation of the platform, focusing on usability and appropriate interpretation rather than direct word‑for‑word translationWork closely with the technical and delivery teams to ensure a correct understanding of system terminology and functionalityAct as a Japanese‑speaking liaison between the project team and stakeholders as requiredAssist with requirements gathering, clarification, and validationSupport status updates, documentation, and general project communicationsCollaborate with stakeholders across India and Japan, operating within a distributed delivery modelRequired Experience & QualificationsA minimum of 3 years of experience with native fluency in Japanese and strong English communication skillsDemonstrated experience in translation and/or localisation, ideally within technology or software platform environmentsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively bridge technical and business stakeholdersExposure to legal, legal operations, or legal technology environmentsExperience working with CLM platforms, with Agiloft experience highly regardedPrior involvement in system implementations, UI localisation initiatives, or technology consulting projectsTo Apply:If you are qualified, interested, and available, please send the following toAastha Kumar – Your updated/ most recent resume *please ensure it has your email address and phone number.An email stating how your experience relates to the requirements above.About ElevateElevate’s global Community of Talent is made up of highly qualified lawyers and legal professionals with solid technical training and experience drawn from leading law firms and law departments.
