Title: Team Lead – Photovoltaic (PV) Operations and Maintenance - Cell and ModuleLocation: Jamnagar, Gujarat, IndiaOrganization: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) - New Energy - Solar DivisionRole SummaryThe Team Lead of Manufacturing Department will execute the Operations and Maintenance functions of the Company’s solar cell manufacturing plant. This role is pivotal in supporting the strategic objective to establish the organization as a global leader in solar cell production. The incumbent will oversee the production volume, productivity enhancements, and the shift production team while ensuring strict adherence to HSE and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership: Manage factory production volume, productivity improvement, and resource optimization.Process Governance: Implement and audit line operational procedures to ensure compliance with corporate standards.Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean methodologies, SMT (Self-Managed Teams), and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) to achieve manufacturing targets.Project Management: Lead high-impact projects including cost reduction, yield improvement (Cpk), new machine qualification, and throughput optimization.Technology Integration: Advance Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) utilizing Industry 4.0 concepts.Safety & Compliance: Approve Risk Assessments (RA) and ensure comprehensive implementation of EHS policies on the shop floor.Talent Development: Responsible for succession planning, coaching, and mentoring within the manufacturing organization.Required Qualifications & CompetenciesEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, Manufacturing, or Chemistry.Experience: A minimum of 18 years of professional experience in manufacturing.Industry Expertise: Direct experience in Solar or Semiconductor manufacturing is highly preferred.Technical Proficiency: Extensive hands-on experience in production line planning, cycle-time management, and FIFO methodology.Tooling Knowledge: Proficiency in SPC, TOPS, FMEA, DOE, Fish-Bone Analysis, and Lean Production Systems.Strategic Start-up Skills: Previous experience in plant start-up and new process development is advantageous.Leadership & Interpersonal SkillsDemonstrated ability to lead, energize, and inspire large organizational structures.Exceptional communication, presentation, and analytical problem-solving skills.Proven track record of building trust-based relationships at all organizational levels.
