Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical / Product Design Engineer (Contract – Prototype Development)Location: Jaipur (On-site preferred)Company: ABC Technical ServicesDuration: 2–3 Months (Full-time Contract)Start: Immediate Description:We are looking for an experienced Mechanical / Product Design Engineer to lead the development of a new automated dispenser product from concept to working prototype. This project is being developed in collaboration with a US-based company (Boston), and the selected candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with stakeholders and engineering teams based in the United States. This is a full-time, short-term contract role (2–3 months) with a strong possibility of conversion into a full-time position based on performance and project requirements. Duties:Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorksConceptualize and build mechanisms for controlled single-dose dispensingDevelop and iterate physical prototypes using 3D printingWork on enclosure design, internal mechanisms, and structural componentsApply practical engineering judgment on tolerances, fitment, and functionalitySupport development of mold-ready designs (basic injection molding understanding required)Collaborate on integrating mechanical systems with basic electronics (motors/sensors) Required Skills & Experience:4–5+ years of experience in product design / mechanical developmentStrong working knowledge of SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, Drawings)Hands-on experience in prototype development and iterationUnderstanding of mold design / injection molding fundamentalsFamiliarity with 3D printing and design for additive manufacturingStrong problem-solving ability and engineering intuition Additional Requirements:Based in Jaipur or willing to work on-siteMust have access to a working system with SolidWorks installed (preferred)Able to join immediately What We’re Looking For:Someone who can take ownership and build from scratchPractical thinker who understands real-world constraintsExperience with mechanisms, not just static CAD modelsComfortable working in a fast-paced, development-focused environment  Role Type Clarification:This is a temporary contract position (2–3 months) focused on prototype development.Based on performance and project progress, there is a potential opportunity to transition into a full-time role. Note: Candidates with hands-on mechanism or product build experience will be preferred over purely CAD/drafting profiles.
