We're looking for a passionate and skilled R&D Chef to lead the development of our next generation of snacks, blending culinary artistry with robust food science.We are seeking an experienced R&D Chef to be the driving force behind our product innovation. This role requires a unique individual who possesses an advanced culinary expertise, a deep understanding of food ingredients, and the ability to translate creative concepts into scalable, cost-effective, and safe commercial products.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProduct Innovation & Development: Lead the entire product development lifecycle, from research to ingredient shortlisting and benchtop prototyping to pilot testing and trial for full-scale commercialization of new snack products. Formulate new products and optimize existing recipes to meet taste, nutritional, and cost targets.Technical & Scientific Expertise: Incorporate food science knowledge to ensure the technical feasibility, stability, and consistent quality of all products. Develop and implement natural, sustainable shelf life enhancement techniques for snack products. Source and evaluate new ingredients for quality, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure all product formulations and processes strictly adhere to food safety regulations and quality control standards. Establish and monitor rigorous quality checks throughout the production process.QUALIFICATIONExperience: 2 years of proven experience as an R&D Chef, Culinary Expert, or professional Chef, preferably within the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) or snack industry. Education: A required qualification of a Culinary Degree or a Food Technology/Science Degree. Skills:Must have a strong command of both classic and modern culinary techniques. Demonstrated ability to create products that are innovative, scalable, and commercially viable. Solid understanding of ingredient functionality, food processing, and food safety principles (HACCP, GMPs). Excellent palate, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
