Job Title: PostgreSQL DBAExperience: 3+ YearsLocation: HyderabadJob Type: Full Time (Hybrid)Job Description:We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL DBA with strong expertise in database administration, production support, and cloud migration activities. The role involves managing PostgreSQL databases across on-prem and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.Key Responsibilities:- Administer, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production environments. - Set up and manage replication (physical/logical) and ensure failover readiness. - Perform backup & restore, PITR, and validate backup integrity. - Handle user/role management, permissions, and security controls. - Troubleshoot performance issues, locks, slow queries, and resource bottlenecks. - Diagnose and recover from database down issues, WAL corruption, disk-full scenarios, and config failures. - Execute PostgreSQL maintenance: vacuum, analyze, reindex, monitoring autovacuum. - Install and configure PostgreSQL on Linux servers and set up data directories. - Perform major/minor upgrades using pg_upgrade or logical replication. - Execute migrations from on-prem to cloud or across PostgreSQL versions. - Develop shell/Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and daily checks. - Work on cloud database migration (AWS RDS, Azure PostgreSQL, or GCP Cloud SQL).
