This role ensures that pricing strategies align with business objectives, maximize profitability, and enhance competitive positioning. The Pricing Director will lead a small team which guides the pricing activity in the divisions, works closely with senior leadership, and serves as the primary architect of long-term pricing initiatives. This position has a heavy emphasis on driving pricing excellence through data-driven decisions and fostering a culture of pricing discipline across the organisation.This is an exciting opportunity for a leader, driven by establishing a strategic function and driving it towards excellence and innovation. The Pricing Director will join us at a pivotal point of in our transformation and enjoy a high-profile role working to deliver an essential pillar of our growth plan.What you’ll be doing…Strategic Pricing Leadership:• Drive the implementation of advanced pricing models that align with both short term and long-term business goals.• Ensure pricing strategies contribute to revenue growth, margin improvement, and market competitiveness.Governance and Oversight:• Establish pricing governance frameworks, ensuring that pricing guidelines are adhered to across regions, business units, and customer segments.• Regularly review and audit pricing performance across the organization to ensure alignment with strategy and enforce corrective actions where needed.• Oversee the Pricing Analysts and ensure their effective implementation and enforcement of pricing policies at operational levels.Executive Collaboration and Influence:• Partner with C-suite executives and key stakeholders to align pricing strategy with broader business goals (e.g., profitability targets, market share expansion).• Present pricing findings, and recommendations to senior leadership, including financial justifications for any changes to the proposed pricing methods.• Serve as the pricing subject matter expert during strategic discussions, including product launches, M&A activity, and market expansion.Pricing Innovation and Optimization:• Lead initiatives to innovate and refine pricing models, including value-based pricing, dynamic pricing, and discounting strategies.• Ensure the pricing organization leverages advanced analytics, market research, and competitive intelligence to make data-driven pricing decisions. Evaluateand drive the development of machine learning approaches within the pricing architecture• Champion the adoption of pricing tools, systems, and software that enhance pricing accuracy, efficiency, predictability and transparency.• Ensure that processes for delivery of pricing tools are efficient and well-understood by users.Performance Monitoring and Reporting:• Track and report on the financial performance of pricing strategies, analysing their impact on revenue, profitability, and market positioning.• Identify trends, opportunities, and risks within pricing data and adjust strategies accordingly.• Ensure that pricing strategies are continuously monitored, evaluated, and improved upon.Team Leadership and Development:• Build and develop a small team of pricing professionals.• Ensure the pricing team has the experience, knowledge, skills and capabilities to execute complex pricing strategies.• Execute robust strategies to remove key person dependencies fromCommitment to D&I and EEO:We believe strongly in the value of diversity and creating supportive, inclusive environments where our colleagues can succeed.
