With a current headcount of around 1000 employees, MGS has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFG’s global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.About the Role:Position Title: FCOA Data Governance – Vice PresidentCorporate Title: Vice PresidentLocation: Bangalore.Job Profile:Purpose of Role:MUFG has multiyear global Financial Crimes Data Governance program to address Data quality for Financial Crimes system and operations. The role supports the strategy and objectives set for Data Governance and Data Quality by Global Financial Crime Division, Tokyo. The role is expected to support Regional Data Governance team at Singapore in its Data Governance initiatives, operationalizing the Data Quality Monitoring (DQM) initiatives and improving the existing processes. Advisory function for MUFG to provide the necessary guidance on FCC Data Governance related processes in the APAC region. The function will address program needs around key process indicators, key risk indicators, management/ reporting.Main Responsibilities:Data Governance: Create/Maintain and review (APAC) Data Governance Policies & Procedures and Operating Manuals.Create Program Materials for DG Regional Working groups and branch working groups, and socializes all relevant program material with Data Producers, Data Consumers, and CDO. Conduct/Coordinate the annual Effectiveness Assessment process.Create DG Plan (for APAC) addressing annual PDCA cycle.Implement & Operationalize Data Governance controls such as Change Management, Data Quality Monitoring, prepare/review KDE, DD, DS in the region as per Global Data Governance framework. Assess and escalate any data quality incident identified through Data Quality Monitoring or other DG controls. Provide support in checker role for BAU tasks and training to team members/branch data producers in the APAC region.Ensure proactive and timely escalation to GFCD DG/Task force on potential data related issues that may impact to FCC.Customer:Provide reliable and constant support to our customers (both internal and external) and strive to build healthy and professional stakeholder relationships by working collaboratively and proactively with key stakeholders.Advisory:Proactively engage with Data producers, Regional Sanctions/AML advisory teams and branch compliance officers to enhance cooperation and promote active sharing on data governance-related matters and updates.Promote personal accountability over work tasks, such as timely and effective resolution of data-related issues arising from BAU activities and specific tasks assigned from time-to-time; andRespect the diversity of our colleagues and foster a strong spirit of teamwork.Projects:Manage and oversee, including working collaboratively and pro-actively with key stakeholders on the timely and effective execution of tasks assigned to the team.Drive & Lead Projects within DG related to Data Quality Monitoring and other automation for process enhancement. Drive & lead other projects related to Data Quality impacting AML area s within Financial Crime division in the APAC region based on adhoc request received.Transaction/Corporate banking experience will be good.Project management experience a must.Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.Excellent stakeholder management skills.Excellent time management and strong discipline in keeping to project milestones.Experience in conflict resolution, consensus building and management of competing priorities. Well organized and disciplined in maintaining project documentation.Confident and comfortable in dealing with senior management/stakeholders.Ability to work flexible hours from time to time due to time zone differences.Willingness to take on ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.Define solutions and building consensus to achieve defined milestone as per project plan.Developing documentation to include local and regional requirements and user requirements for Data Governance.To perform impact assessment of requirement to systems, process and operations with key focus on local and regional requirements.Exposure AI based solution in data governance.Candidate Profile:Skills and knowledge / Education & professional qualifications:Bachelor's degree or above.15+ years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance and/or Sanctions Compliance.
