With a strong people-first culture, we focus on governance, compliance, and sustainable business growth while enabling innovation at scale.Role Overview:We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to lead corporate, commercial, and compliance matters across the organization. This role requires strategic legal advisory capabilities, strong contract negotiation expertise, and the ability to partner with senior leadership to mitigate legal risks and support business growth.Key Responsibilities:Corporate & Commercial Leadership• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of complex, high-value commercial contracts including MSAs, SLAs, NDAs, licensing, vendor, client, and partnership agreements• Provide strategic legal advice to senior leadership on commercial transactions and business initiatives• Develop and implement contract standards, legal playbooks, and approval frameworksCompliance & Corporate Governance• Oversee compliance with corporate, commercial, labour, and industry-specific laws• Manage statutory filings, corporate records, and governance documentation• Support Board and senior management on governance matters• Liaise with Company Secretaries, regulators, auditors, and government authoritiesRisk Management & Advisory• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks across business operations• Provide legal opinions on mergers, partnerships, vendor onboarding, and strategic alliances• Support enterprise risk management initiativesLitigation & Dispute Resolution• Manage litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution matters through external counsel• Review legal notices, pleadings, and settlement strategies• Monitor case exposure and provide risk assessments to leadershipEmployment, Labor & Policy Oversight• Advise HR and leadership on employment laws, POSH compliance, disciplinary actions, and employee relations• Review and approve employment contracts, policies, and internal guidelines• Lead internal investigations and compliance reviews when requiredLeadership & Process Improvement• Mentor junior legal team members and oversee legal operations• Drive process improvements, automation, and best practices within the legal function• Conduct legal awareness and compliance training for business teamsQualifications & Experience:• LL.B. from a recognized university (LL.M. preferred)• 10+ years of experience in in-house corporate legal roles or leading law firms• Strong expertise in corporate law, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance• Proven experience managing senior stakeholders and external counsel• Exposure to global contracts and international business operations is a strong advantageKey Skills & Competencies:• Expert-level contract drafting and negotiation skills• Strong legal judgment with a business-oriented mindset• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities• High attention to detail and strategic risk assessment capability• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, global environmentWhy Join the People Tech Group:• Strategic leadership role with direct impact on business growth• Exposure to global clients and complex commercial transactions• Opportunity to shape legal governance and best practices• Collaborative, people-first work culture
