Senior Data Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Integration / ETL Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise-scale data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, ETL/ELT frameworks, modern data integration patterns, and large-scale data platforms, along with strong analytical and communication skills.This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality data products following industry best practices and SDLC standards.Roles & Responsibilities• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade data integrations using ETL/ELT tools such as SSIS, Databricks, or equivalent platforms.• Build and optimize data pipelines leveraging relational databases, APIs, and event-driven messaging patterns.• Develop and manage complex SQL Server–based solutions, including stored procedures, views, performance tuning, and query optimization.• Implement and support data integration patterns, including batch ETL, ELT, near-real-time ingestion, and API-based integrations.• Work with Change Data Capture (CDC) and Change Tracking mechanisms to support incremental and real-time data movement.• Design and validate data models for both OLTP and OLAP workloads, ensuring scalability and performance.• Collaborate on Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives to ensure consistent and governed enterprise data.• Participate actively in the data product SDLC, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across integrated systems.• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders in a highly collaborative Agile environment.• Document technical designs, data flows, and operational procedures clearly and concisely.Required Qualifications & ExperienceEducation• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Analysis, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server or equivalent enterprise RDBMS platforms. • 10+ years of experience building data integrations and ETL pipelines using tools such as SSIS, Databricks, or similar technologies. • Strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT architecture patterns, event-driven messaging, and API-based integrations.Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications• Master’s degree (MS/MA) in a relevant technical or business discipline. • 15+ years of experience with the Microsoft SQL technology stack. • Experience working within Enterprise Architecture and Service Delivery models such as TOGAF and ITIL. • Certification in a Cloud Data Engineering or related cloud technology curriculum.Key Skills & Competencies• Strong understanding of data integration and data modeling patterns for OLAP and OLTP systems • Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and platforms • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills • Strong planning, organizational, and documentation abilities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
