The ideal candidate will architect, design, and lead the development of scalable applications, mentor engineers, and ensure delivery excellence. This role involves technical leadership, stakeholder management, and hands-on engineering.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture, Design & DeliveryLead solution architecture and design for Java-based applications; define patterns for API design, data access, and resiliency.Plan and sequence engineering work, unblock teams, and ensure timely, quality releases.Partner with front-end engineers (ReactJS), DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders for delivery in Agile ceremonies.Development & EngineeringDesign and develop services/APIs using Core Java, Spring, and Hibernate; implement robust error handling, logging, and observability.Consume/publish REST APIs; handle schema contracts, pagination, retries, timeouts, idempotency, and rate limits.Build and maintain secure integrations using SFTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, and certificate/keystore management.Data & PerformanceModel, query, and optimise SQL (e.g., MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB/Cassandra) data stores.Profile/tune hot paths, queries, and connection pools; ensure SLIs/SLOs and proactive alerting.Quality, Security & ComplianceWrite unit/integration tests (e.g., JUnit), participate in peer reviews, adhere to coding standards, and support CI workflows.Follow organisational policies for secrets management, certificate rotation, data protection, and audit readiness.Leadership & MentorshipMentor engineers, conduct code reviews, set coding standards, and drive technical excellence.Must-Have SkillsCore Backend & FrameworksCore Java (8+ years): OOP, collections, exceptions, multithreading/concurrency, streams; clean coding and design fundamentals.Spring/Hibernate (8+ years): RESTful APIs, dependency injection, ORM mapping, transaction management.DatabasesSQL (8+ years): Joins, indexing, query plans, transactions, normalisation/denormalisation, performance tuning.NoSQL (5+ years): Document/column stores, schema design, sharding/replication basics, CRUD and query optimisation.Networking & SecurityNetworking & Protocols (5+ years): SFTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS; certificate chains, keystores/truststores, cipher policies, and secure configuration.Testing & DevOpsTesting & Tools: JUnit (or equivalent), Git, build tool (Maven/Gradle), CI/CD.Frontend ExposureReactJS (2+ years): Hooks, component/state patterns, API integration; ability to triage UI to API issues.LeadershipLeadership: Proven experience in technical leadership and mentoring.Thanks & Regards,Vibha SethTechnical RecruiterE-Mail: vibha@Contact: 9935984975
