Key Responsibilities : ● Full Stack Development: Build and maintain scalable web applications using modern frontend (React or Angular) and backend (C#, Java Spring Boot, or similar) technologies. We work mostly with C#.NET, React and Rust. However, frameworks can be learned: we care much more about your general engineering skill than your knowledge of a particular framework. ● Object-Oriented Design: Apply OOP principles and software design patterns to build clean, maintainable, and extensible systems. ● Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, design, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-impact features. ● Code Quality: Write well-structured, testable, and efficient code. Conduct and participate in code reviews to uphold engineering best practices. ● Cloud & DevOps Integration: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and system observability. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. ● Performance & Scalability: Design systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability. Leverage asynchronous and parallel programming where appropriate. ● Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging technologies and development trends. Show initiative in learning new tools and languages, including Rust. Minimum Qualifications :● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related fields. ● 3–6 years of experience as a Software Engineer, preferably in a full-stack role. ● Strong understanding and hands-on application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns. ● Good understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. ● Experience with some frontend frameworks like React or Angular. ● Backend experience with C#.NET, or similar frameworks such as Java Spring Boot, Node.js, etc. ● Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals. Preferred Qualifications: ● Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern DevOps tools and processes. ● Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). ● Interest or experience in systems programming with Rust (a strong plus if already proficient). ● A good grasp of asynchronous and parallel programming paradigms. ● Exposure to agile methodologies and version control (e.g., Git, Jira, Scrum). About the Typography Squad : The Typography squad is a specialized engineering team that owns the systems behind how text is rendered, edited, and managed across all our customer-facing platforms. Whenever text appears on our sites—whether it's being displayed or actively edited, our infrastructure is involved in making sure it looks right, performs well, and behaves consistently. Our work spans a range of areas, including font management (ingestion, processing, conversion), high-fidelity text rendering, and building robust in-browser text editing experiences. We focus on delivering smooth, accurate, and performant typography, no matter the device, browser, or content type. We’re currently building several next-generation capabilities, such as: ● A powerful, modern browser-based text editor ● Smart font mapping and fallback handling ● Automated font conversion and optimization pipelines ● Tools and services that make complex font handling seamless for other teamsWe’re looking for engineers who enjoy solving deep technical problems, optimizing for performance and precision, and shaping the future of how users interact with text on the web.Why You'll Love Working Here:We strive to give you everything you need to learn, grow, and succeed and take a step forward in your learning journey – and your life.
