Power BI Support & Development AnalystMid to Senior LevelRemoteImmediate Joiner Role OverviewWe are seeking a Power BI Support & Development Analyst to join a global managed services team supporting LivaNova’s enterprise analytics and reporting environment. This role combines operational support, incident resolution, and ongoing development of Power BI reports and dashboards.The position operates within a follow-the-sun delivery model, providing Tier 1–3 support, proactive maintenance, and continuous enhancements to ensure stability, performance, and evolution of the Power BI platform.This role is part of a structured Resource Expertise Model, ensuring redundancy, documentation, and cross-training across all systems. Key ResponsibilitiesPower BI Support & OperationsProvide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support for Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.Troubleshoot and resolve reporting errors, data discrepancies, and performance issues.Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document corrective actions.Monitor dashboards and data refreshes to ensure platform stability.Maintain and update incident backlogs, including business impact and resolution notes.Follow defined SLAs for response and resolution times.Power BI Development & EnhancementsDevelop new Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.Enhance and optimize existing reports for performance, usability, and clarity.Support ingestion of data into Power BI from approved data sources.Collaborate with stakeholders to capture enhancement requests and prioritize backlog items.Participate in peer reviews prior to deployment.Documentation & Knowledge ManagementMaintain up-to-date runbooks, technical documentation, and system diagrams.Update documentation after incidents, changes, or enhancements.Follow standardized deployment, rollback, and recovery procedures.Contribute to a shared, access-controlled knowledge repository.Governance & CollaborationParticipate in weekly operational reviews and monthly governance sessions.Support SLA reporting, backlog reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.Engage in quarterly cross-training and knowledge transfer activities.Ensure adherence to Power BI governance, access controls, and data lineage standards. Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical SkillsHands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.Strong understanding of:Report and dashboard developmentVisual best practicesData refresh and publishing processesExperience supporting production BI environments.Familiarity with data troubleshooting concepts (filters, aggregations, relationships).Basic understanding of data modeling concepts (no deep database expertise required).Experience working with Excel-based data sources and structured datasets.Support & Delivery SkillsExperience working in managed services or support environments.Ability to triage issues, prioritize incidents, and communicate status clearly.Comfortable working with tickets, backlogs, and SLAs.Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing discipline.Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving mindset.Clear written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed global team.Willingness to work assigned shifts as part of a follow-the-sun model. Nice to HaveExperience with enterprise BI governance models.Exposure to Row-Level Security (RLS) concepts.Experience working with global clients or regulated environments.Power BI certification (PL-300) is a plus but not required.
