Job Description:
Key Responsibilities: • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees in Canada and the U.S., ensuring t imely and accurate compensation. • Calculate and validate payroll data including hours worked, deductions, taxes, benefits, and special payments such as bonuses and commissions. • Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local payroll regulations, including U.S. legislation (W-2, W-4, 1099) and Canadian tax requirements (T4, TD1). • Process and administer garnishments, levies, and other complex payroll deductions in accordance with legal requirements. • Conduct regular salary benchmarking and compensation analysis to support HR and finance teams with data-driven recommendations. • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate employee data and seamless payroll integration. • Support audits and compliance checks by maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation. • Generate payroll reports and dashboards to support internal stakeholders with financial and operational insights. • Stay current on payroll best practices, legislation changes, and industry trends to ensure continuous process improvement.
