Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Work hours: Overlapping US Time (1.30pm - 10.30 pm)We are seeking a detail-oriented and forward-thinking Senior QA Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of our data-driven projects, with a specific focus on ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) pipelines and modern automation. The ideal candidate is someone who balances traditional QA rigor with a passion for AI-driven testing and efficient data validation. Key Responsibilities:Test Strategy & Execution: Design, develop, and maintain both manual and automated test scripts tailored for data-heavy environments.Data Pipeline Validation: Execute functional, regression, and performance testing specifically for ELT pipelines to ensure data accuracy and flow.Defect Management: Log, track, and manage software defects using Jira, ensuring clear communication with the development team.End-to-End Testing: Perform comprehensive testing of ELT processes using innovative, efficient approaches to validate data from source to destination.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and define robust acceptance criteria.Innovation: Continuously enhance QA practices by exploring and integrating emerging AI-driven solutions and tools.Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience in software quality assurance.Automation Expertise: Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent tools.AI Integration: Exposure to AI-assisted code generation or AI-powered testing automation.QA Fundamentals: A strong, foundational understanding of QA methodologies, life cycles, and best practices.Soft Skills: Sharp analytical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail.Preferred Skills:Data Platforms: Practical experience working with Snowflake.DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the deployment workflow.Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL).Agile Mindset: Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
