Job Title: Tube Mill Electricla Maintenance HOD Department: Electrical MaintenanceLocation: Pashamylaram, Isnapur, Telangana 500006Reporting To: Plant Operations HeadJob SummaryThe Electrical HOD is responsible for overseeing all electrical maintenance and project activities within the tube mill. This includes managing electrical systems, minimizing downtime, ensuring safety compliance, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies. The role plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, power system stability, and continuous process support.Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Maintenance OversightPlan and supervise preventive and predictive electrical maintenance activities.Troubleshoot electrical faults in equipment like motors, drives, HF, cranes, slitting lines, and cooling systems. Ensure uninterrupted power supply to all critical equipment and control systems.Monitor health of motors, drives, PLCs, panels, and power distribution systems.Manage inventory of spare parts and components ensuring availability of critical spares at times of requirement.Team Management & SupervisionLead a team of engineers and technicians in executing maintenance schedules.Allocate responsibilities, review work quality, and build team capabilities.Ensure quick and effective resolution of breakdowns and electrical faults.Projects & ImprovementsDrive energy conservation initiatives and optimize electrical load.Ensure integration of new equipment with existing infrastructure.Safety & ComplianceEnforce electrical safety standards & permit systems,Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and awareness programs.Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, load readings, and breakdowns.Generate reports for power consumption, downtime analysis, and spares utilization.Coordinate with other departments for seamless plant operations.Required QualificationsEducation:B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical EngineeringExperience:10–15 years of experience in electrical maintenance in steel or heavy manufacturing industriesStrong exposure to tube mill equipment, power systems, PLCs, and automation preferredKey Skills & CompetenciesCategorySkills Technical:HT/LT Systems, PLCs, Drives, Motors, Transformers, Power PanelsManagerial:Team Handling, Work Planning, Vendor CoordinationProcess:Preventive Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Energy ManagementCompliance:Electrical Safety, LOTO, Statutory RegulationsBehavioural AttributesStrong leadership and decision-making abilityProactive approach to reliability and efficiencyHigh attention to safety and operational disciplineEffective communicator and cross-functional collaboratorAbility to handle high-pressure situations with calmness
