Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Engineer to ensure that all materials, fabrication and construction processes meet stringent internal standards, industry specifications and regulatory quality requirements. This role is critical to maintaining the superior quality and safety benchmarks for which WBIPL is known.Key Responsibilities• Conduct routine quality inspections of materials, fabrication work and finished components to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. • Implement QA/QC procedures and testing plans, including inspection test plans (ITPs), method statements and quality checklists. • Document non-conformances, generate inspection reports and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). • Ensure adherence to relevant standards (e.g., IS, ASTM, ISO 9001) and project specifications. • Collaborate with project teams, production, fabrication and site engineers to resolve quality issues and improve processes. • Support internal and external quality audits and maintain accurate quality documentation. • Monitor and follow up on corrective actions, reporting progress to Quality Manager / Project Lead.Who We’re Looking For✔ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field ✔ 2–5 years experience in QA/QC roles — preferably in heavy engineering, steel fabrication, construction or infrastructure sectors ✔ Knowledge of quality standards, inspection/testing methods and quality documentation ✔ Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills ✔ Good communication and coordination skillsWhy WBIPL?✔ Work on large-scale infrastructure and bridge manufacturing projects ✔ Exposure to advanced quality systems and industry best practices ✔ Collaborative & dynamic work environment ✔ Growth and learning opportunities
