Role Title: Senior Quality Engineer I Position Summary: Marriott International is the world’s largest hotel company, with more brands, more hotels and more opportunities for associates to grow and succeed. We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented SDET to join our quality engineering team. This role requires strong experience in test automation, microservices testing, and enterprise platforms such as Salesforce. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on expertise with tools like TOSCA , Postman, ReadyAPI and a passion for delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions. Candidates will work across multiple products & engineering teams to deliver incremental value against the Loyalty Platform roadmap. Perform research, analysis, design, creation, and implementation of applications to meet current and future user requirements. Help develop proof-of-concept implementations to help evaluate cutting-edge technology to drive and meet Marriott business & technology objectives. Candidates must have the ability to communicate upward to superiors and laterally to other departments. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement automated test frameworks for Salesforce applications, including UI, API, and end-to-end testing. Develop and execute automated tests for microservices-based architectures, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance. Utilize TOSCA for model-based test automation, including test case design, execution, and maintenance. Perform API testing using Postman, validating service contracts, data flows, and integration points. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA analysts to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive coverage. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Monitor test execution, analyze failures, and provide actionable feedback to development teams. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications: 4–7 years of experience in software testing and automation. Hands-on experience with Salesforce testing, including declarative and programmatic components. Strong understanding of microservices architecture and testing strategies for distributed systems. Proficiency in TOSCA for test automation and test data management. Experience with Postman for API testing and automation. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript. Familiarity with test automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, and JMeter. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for quality.
