Job Title: Vice Principal (Mathematics Lead)Location: Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally, SecunderabadReports To: Principal / School DirectorJob SummaryThe Vice Principal will support the Principal in the overall administration and academic leadership of the school, with a primary responsibility of teaching Mathematics and driving excellence in numeracy across all grades. The role combines leadership duties with active classroom teaching to ensure high academic standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership* Lead and oversee the Mathematics curriculum across grades.* Ensure effective lesson planning, delivery, and assessment practices.* Drive initiatives to improve student performance in Mathematics.* Support English faculty to maintain overall academic balance.Teaching Responsibilities* Teach Mathematics classes as per the assigned timetable.* Develop engaging lesson plans and use innovative teaching methodologies.* Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.* Prepare students for board examinations and competitive assessments.Staff Management* Supervise and mentor Mathematics faculty.* Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback for improvement.* Organize training sessions and professional development programs.Student Development* Identify learning gaps and implement intervention strategies.* Promote discipline, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.* Guide students academically and support their overall development.Administrative Duties* Assist the Principal in daily school operations.* Coordinate examinations, timetables, and academic planning.* Ensure compliance with school policies and board regulations.Parent & Community Engagement* Communicate with parents regarding student progress.* Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events.Qualifications & Requirements* Master’s Degree in *Mathematics* (B.Ed./M.Ed. preferred).* Minimum *5–10 years of teaching experience in Mathematics*.* At least *3–5 years of experience in a leadership/administrative role*.* Strong subject expertise in Mathematics across secondary/senior secondary levels.* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Key Skills* Strong Mathematical teaching and pedagogy* Academic leadership and mentoring* Data analysis and performance tracking* Classroom management* Decision-making and problem-solvingPreferred Attributes* Experience with CBSE State Board curriculum* Ability to integrate technology into Mathematics teaching* Passion for student-centered and experiential learningPerformance Indicators* Improvement in student Mathematics results* Quality of teaching and learning outcomes* Teacher performance and engagement* Effective school operations supportCompensation* Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications* Additional benefits as per school policy
