THE ROLEThe Project Manager is a customer-facing delivery role focused exclusively on software product-based implementations. You will serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for ZestIOT product implementation projects, owning the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure. Your “North Star” is On-Time Delivery with Quality.You will independently manage multiple concurrent client projects, holding full accountability for delivery, client relationships, scope, schedule, and risk. This role requires readiness to travel to customer locations internationally as needed.DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE8+ years in IT, with 4+ years of dedicated project management experience in software development or software product implementation projects. Candidates from non-software project management backgrounds will not be considered.End-to-end experience delivering 2–3 successful software projects from POC to large-scale deployment, preferably in a B2B environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders.Proven experience managing fixed-price software projects — with strong discipline around scope control, change management, and delivery within contractual constraints.Direct customer-handling experience with a strong ability to build and sustain relationships across stakeholder levels, including senior leadership.Technical soundness: ability to understand and communicate in techno-functional language. Working knowledge of IoT, Cloud computing, and Web/Mobile App-based systems.Strong in proactive risk, issue, and dependency management across multi-team, multi-vendor projects.Experienced in scope and change management with a disciplined approach to governance and documentation.Proficient in project management tools, Agile/Scrum-based release management, and standard office productivity tools.Strong communication skills — written and verbal — with an ability to keep diverse stakeholder groups informed and aligned.Organizational skills with high attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and a process-oriented mindset.Ability to quickly learn new business domains and customer environments.Certifications: PMP, Prince2, CSM, or equivalent preferred.Willingness to travel internationally to customer locations as required.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESServe as the primary customer-facing SPOC for ZestIOT product implementation projects, owning client communication, expectation management, and relationship continuity throughout the project lifecycle.Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality end-to-end, ensuring on-time delivery within agreed parameters.Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, RAID logs, change requests, and delivery reports.Partner with Engineering, QA, and other internal teams to align resources and technical delivery with customer timelines.Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure minimal impact on delivery.Ensure full compliance with standardized delivery practices — including Jira workflows, documentation standards, and release processes.Travel to customer sites internationally as required to support key project milestones, reviews, and relationship management.Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing learnings and supporting delivery practice development.KPI / SUCCESS METRICSOn-time delivery of projects within agreed budget and schedule.Less than 10% deviation from committed scope and timelines.Zero P1 & P2 defects at go-live.Customer satisfaction rating of 4.5/5 or higher.Comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation at all milestones.Measurable contribution to process improvements and delivery quality.NICE TO HAVEAviation domain knowledge: experience with airport operations, turnaround monitoring, or AI-based camera solutions.Experience engaging and managing high-profile stakeholders at the CXO level.Experience with customer product success.
