Our clients are international and regional players such as De Watergroep, Eneco, Engie, SSE, City of New York, City of Baltimore, Boston Water and Sewer Commission, City of Dallas...With offices in Europe, North America and India, we count 550+ IT and utility specialists and are regularly looking for talented experts and starters to join our growing teams.Monitoring Consultant.Function:As a Monitoring Consultant, you will be a key member of the Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) department, responsible for overseeing, analyzing, and optimizing batch processes and job scheduling across our technology landscape. You will ensure the reliable execution of automated tasks, timely identification of issues, and continuous improvement of batch monitoring systems to support business operations.You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, application, and operations teams in ETS & the R&D teams in the Business Units to ensure consistent, secure, and efficient operations for UMAX and related systems.You will contribute to ETS standards, foster cross-team collaboration, and enhance the overall reliability, transparency, and performance of our batch monitoring and management processes.The role is based in Hyderabad, India.What is UMAX?As a Monitoring Consultant you will:Application Monitoring & Automation:Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot the overall health and performance of the UMAX application, including batch jobs, scheduled processes, integrations, and user-facing modules, to ensure timely and accurate completion of business-critical tasks.Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring tools and dashboards for UMAX, providing visibility into application status, job failures, performance metrics, system alerts, and user experience indicators.Automate repetitive monitoring tasks, system checks, and alerting mechanisms to accelerate response times, support proactive issue resolution, and minimize operational risks across the entire UMAX landscape.Ensure adherence to ETS-wide governance, scheduling strategies, environment standards, and data quality requirements for all UMAX modules and processes.Collaboration & Cross-Application Reliability:Support seamless coordination between infrastructure, application, and operations teams to resolve issues, optimize UMAX processes, and uphold service levels for all business units.Reliability, Documentation & Continuous Improvement:Monitor UMAX application health, detect bottlenecks or recurring failures across all modules, and propose enhancements for speed, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.Maintain clear technical documentation covering job schedules, monitoring standards, integration patterns, runbooks, and system architecture for UMAX.Promote and support continuous improvement practices across ETS, with a focus on enhancing the end-to-end reliability and transparency of the UMAX application and its supporting processes.Our ideal candidate:Experience & Background:Minimum of two years’ hands-on experience in application monitoring, encompassing batch processing, job scheduling, and automation within enterprise environments.Demonstrated ability to support large-scale application landscapes, including batch and real-time processes for ERP or customer information systems (CIS) such as Dynamics 365, UMAX, or similar platforms.Experience working in environments characterized by structured governance, cross-functional teams, and formalized operational processes.Skills & Competencies:Comprehensive understanding of application and batch monitoring concepts, including job scheduling, system health, availability, performance metrics, alerting, and incident management.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a quality-driven, structured approach to troubleshooting and optimization across the application stack.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams and transparent reporting on application status and performance.Mindset & Ways of Working:Ownership-driven, proactive, and committed to reliability and operational excellence.Continuous learner, curious about monitoring innovations and automation trends.Collaborative, supportive, and able to work effectively across multiple teams.Certifications (or willingness to obtain):Relevant certifications in IT operations, cloud monitoring (e.g. Azure Administrator, Azure Monitor), or automation (nice to have).Microsoft certifications in Azure, Power Platform, or Dynamics (nice to have):A warm welcome!
