Job Purpose The Manager, Faculty Development Office is responsible for ensuring a high-quality, professional, and consistent faculty experience from recruitment and onboarding through engagement and exit. The role provides managerial leadership to Faculty Associates, drives operational excellence, ensures timely and compliant execution of faculty-related processes, and serves as a key coordination point across internal stakeholders. The Manager is accountable for service quality, stakeholder satisfaction, escalation management, and continuous improvement of faculty-facing operations, working closely with the Associate Director – Faculty Development.Job Outline The job holder is responsible for managing end-to-end faculty support operations, including faculty recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and exit processes. Ensure structured and consistent onboarding of new faculty, including coordination with HR, IT, accommodation, office setup, communication, and internal announcements. Act as the primary escalation point for faculty-related operational matters, ensuring timely resolution and high service standards. Visa/FRRO coordination, school info for families, etc. Organize a structured one-day orientation—venue, catering, scheduling, HOD presentations, leadership availability, feedback collection. Coordinate HR exit processes, send exit announcement Measure Faculty onboarding, orientation, support, and exit processes directly influence faculty satisfaction. These are experience-driven, requiring professionalism, clarity, and high-quality interaction. Faculty feedback, satisfaction, and perception are qualitative metrics. Weightage -30%KRA - KPI -Operational Support Provide managerial oversight of faculty-related operations, including payments, reimbursements, credit card settlements, and vendor coordination. Ensure adherence to timelines, policies, and compliance requirements, minimizing operational risks and escalations. Review operational workflows regularly and drive process improvements for efficiency and service quality. Lead periodic team meetings to communicate updates, resolve issues, and align priorities. Serve as the first point of escalation for complex operational matters and coordinate resolution with relevant departments. Measure - queries are addressed within 1 working day. operational issues resolved within agreed timelines Weightage -30%KRA - RA/RI Hiring KPI - Oversee the Research Assistant / Research Intern (RA/RI) hiring process, ensuring timely execution and adherence to institutional guidelines. Mentor and guide Associates through the complete hiring lifecycle, from requisition to onboarding. Monitor timelines and dependencies to ensure hiring is completed within defined deadlines. Measure -Tasks are completed before strict deadlines Weightage -20%KRA -Other Departmental Activities KPI - Support Heads of Department with Annual Merit Review processes through coordination, scheduling, and documentation. Oversee the dissemination of individual faculty research budget information through Faculty Associates. Ensure effective planning and coordination of faculty meetings, committee meetings, academic events, and departmental engagements. Maintain and update departmental policies and documentation on institutional platforms. Coordinate faculty participation in institutional events such as Graduation Day, liaising with relevant offices to ensure smooth execution. Foster a positive team culture through coordination of team engagements, farewells, and departmental activities. Measure -Require strict timeline management and coordination. Weightage -20%
