Sustainability ethos is engrained in multiple aspects of the Group’s businesses.  Role:   As a Nursery Specialist, you will be will responsible for the propagation, cultivation, and maintenance of plants within the nursery. This role involves ensuring optimal growing conditions, monitoring plant health, and performing tasks related to planting, watering, pruning, and pest control. The Nursery Specialist will work closely with the Management to achieve operational goals and maintain the highest standards of plant quality.  Key Responsibilities   1. Propagation and Cultivation    Propagate plants through seeds, cuttings, grafting, and other methods. Prepare soil mixtures and ensure proper planting techniques as per permaculture principles .  Monitor and adjust environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, and light, to optimize plant growth.   2. Plant Care and Maintenance    Water plants according to their specific needs, prune and trim plants to encourage proper growth and shape.   Assist in promoting healthy plant growth and prevent plant disease by using fertilizers or pesticides  Regularly inspect plants for signs of pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies. Implement integrated pest management practices.  Record and report any issues to the management promptly.  3. Facility Maintenance   Organize the Nursery for efficient layout according to plan or as per plant requirement.   Maintain cleanliness at all time and organize the nursery to retard algal/fungal growth and minimize incidence of disease.  Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any malfunctions.  Assist in the maintenance and repair of nursery infrastructure, such as greenhouses and irrigation systems.  Assist in tracking plant inventory and maintaining accurate records  4. Inventory Management   Assist in tracking plant inventory and maintaining accurate records.  Assist in production operations to prepare plants for sale or distribution, including labelling and packaging.  Qualifications and Skills   Bachelor’s or Diploma holder in horticulture, agriculture, botany or a related field.   Minimum of 5 years of experience in handling Nursery plant.  Understanding of plant biology, propagation techniques, pest management, and nursery operations.   Result oriented should have the ability to understand desired end results and organize, adapt, and manage resources to achieve it.  Ability to anticipate safety hazards and take steps to avoid unsafe conditions which may hamper the plant growth  Good communication skills, Ability to work independently and in a group setting.
