Our manufacturing operations are driven by disciplined planning, stable execution, and close coordination across production, supply chain, quality, and dispatch teams.Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Engineer – Production Planning & Control (PPC) with 6–8 years of experience to manage production planning, scheduling, and execution tracking at our manufacturing facility.The role reports directly to the General Manager – Operations and plays a key part in ensuring:• Clear and Executable production plans,• Material and Capacity readiness, and• Adherence to committed delivery schedules.The ideal candidate is structured, analytical, and comfortable working closely with shopfloor teams under tight timelines.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Scheduling• Prepare and release daily and weekly production plans aligned with delivery commitments• Convert sales orders and forecasts into executable production schedules• Define job priorities and sequencing based on capacity, constraints, and due datesMaterial & Capacity Coordination• Coordinate with SCM / stores to confirm material availability before plan finalisation.• Identify shortages, constraints, or risks early and escalate proactively.• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams on machine and capacity availability.Execution Tracking (Plan vs Actual)• Track daily production performance against plan• Analyse deviations, identify root causes, and support recovery actions• Prepare and share structured updates for daily and weekly operational reviewsDispatch Readiness & Delivery Support• Ensure production schedules align with dispatch and shipment commitments• Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams to support on-time deliveries• Assist in prioritisation decisions during capacity or material constraintsSystems, Documentation & Reporting• Maintain production planning trackers and schedule adherence reports• Ensure discipline in documentation, data accuracy, and reporting• Use ERP / SAP planning and production reports for monitoring and decision-makingCross-Functional Coordination• Work closely with:o Manufacturing teams for execution and shift-wise targetso SCM / Stores for material readiness and shortage follow-upo QA for inspection-related constraints impacting deliveryo Dispatch for shipment readiness and sequencingWhat You Bring• BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering• 6–8 years of experience in PPC / production planning in a manufacturing environment• Strong understanding of:o production schedulingo material coordinationo plan vs actual tracking• Comfortable working close to the shop floor and coordinating across departments• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and structured reportingPreferred Skills• Exposure to ERP / SAP (PP module preferred)• Experience in engineering, machining, assembly, or industrial product manufacturing• Strong analytical skills with clear communication and follow-through disciplineWhy Join KGEPL?• High-visibility role reporting directly to the GM – Operations• Opportunity to influence delivery performance and shopfloor stability• Work closely with operations leadership and multiple plant functions• Be part of a growing manufacturing organisation with a strong market presence
