What You’ll Be Doing (position summary): The Senior Manager, Mobile & Services is responsible for managing multiple development projects, development groups, and application support functions for a major line of business. The role oversees the development, testing, and implementation of organization-wide systems, directs, motivates, and develops staff to maximize their individual contribution and team effectiveness. The Senior Manager leads resource planning and allocation, monitors and improves quality, ensures best practice development techniques, and partners with business stakeholders to deliver application programs that drive business improvement.At CIBC India we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. How You’ll Succeed (responsibilities): Development & Delivery:Lead enterprise-level application development and delivery, focusing on high-quality banking APIs, microservices, and mobile applicationsOversee the design, development, testing, and implementation of organization-wide digital solutionsDrive discussions with business and technical teams to identify opportunities for technology and process improvementsEnsure adherence to code quality standards, best practice development techniques, and compliance with policies, standards, guidelines, and controlsTrack and analyze the operating environment for specified services and implement corrective actions as neededPeople Management:Set appropriate context when assigning work to ensure that individuals’ roles support the achievement of the business unit’s priorities and CIBC’s overall goalsBuild team and individual capabilities by providing development opportunities such as job shadowing, special projects, and trainingManage performance by providing fair and accurate formal and informal feedback, identifying and removing obstacles to performance, and explaining how performance expectations align with business prioritiesCreate a positive work environment and be an effective role model by championing CIBC’s mission, vision, and valuesEnsure compliance with policies, standards, guidelines, and controls by applying the policies and controls fairly and consistently so employees understand what to expectHire the right people in the right jobs to align individual capabilities with job requirements and business unit goalsLead, coach, and mentor high-performing teams, maximizing contributions and professional growthRelationship Management:Work closely with clients and business partners to develop, test, and implement application programsAdvise application owners on technical possibilities and requirements Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to plan for product and feature development and releases Influence and improve the business by providing strategic technology guidanceExperience: 10+ years of experience Who You Are (skills/qualifications): Must Have Skills: Extensive experience leading digital application and mobile development teams in enterprise environments 10+ years of industry experience required Deep technical acumen in Java, Kotlin, Compose UI, Objective-C, Swift, Swift UI, Spring / Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, Cloud-native technologies, and DevSecOps pipelines Knowledge of software design using SOLID principles Experience in the banking domain is an asset Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred Excellent leadership and coaching abilities Strong communication and relationship management skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Time management and organizational skills Ability to champion change and drive collective success Commitment to CIBC’s values of trust, teamwork, and accountability What CIBC India Offers: At CIBC India, your goals are a priority.
