At Visy India, their technology hub in Hyderabad, they are expanding their technical capabilities to support their global business.Introduction to the Role:The Contract Administrator – People & Culture plays a critical role in managing the end-to-end lifecycle of employment contracts across Visy. This position supports the organization by ensuring that employment contracts are prepared, reviewed, executed, and maintained in compliance with applicable legislation, industrial instruments, and internal policies.The role works closely with Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and other key stakeholders to enable a smooth and compliant employment offer and onboarding process. Strong attention to detail, organizational capability, and stakeholder communication are essential for success in this role.Position Summary:The Contract Administrator – People & Culture is responsible for the preparation, administration, and quality assurance of employment contracts for all Visy employees, including permanent, fixed-term, and casual engagements. The role also contributes to the maintenance and continuous improvement of contract templates, clause libraries, and contract-related processes.While legal qualifications are not mandatory, a sound understanding of employment law and contractual principles is essential.Key Responsibilities:- Contract Lifecycle Management - Contract Review & Quality Assurance - Stakeholder Engagement & Support - Process Improvement & DocumentationSkills and Competencies:- Draft employment contracts for new hires (permanent, fixed-term, and casual) using approved templates and clause libraries, in line with agreed service level standards. - Prepare role-specific and location-specific clauses based on modern awards, enterprise agreements, and applicable legislation, seeking approval where required. - Support the employment offer process through timely preparation of contracts and associated documentation. - Ensure all pre-commencement contractual and compliance requirements are met prior to employee start dates. - Maintain, update, and refine employment contract templates to reflect legislative and organisational changes. - Ensure accuracy of employment details, including role title, employment type, remuneration, commencement date, classification, benefits, and entitlements. - Identify discrepancies or risks in contract terms and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues. - Respond to contract-related queries from internal stakeholders, including Talent Acquisition, HR, and Hiring Managers. - Provide clear explanations of contract terms and processes to non-legal stakeholders as required. - Assist in developing and improving workflows and procedures for contract creation and administration. - Contribute to initiatives and projects aimed at ensuring all Visy employees have accurate and up-to-date written employment contracts. - Perform other duties as directed, consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the role. - Talent Acquisition Team - Hiring Managers - Industrial Relations Team - Human Resources Business Partners - Minimum of 12 months’ experience in contract administration or a related role. - Understanding of the employment legal environment, including different forms of employment (full-time, part-time, casual) and the distinction between employment and independent contracting. - Tertiary qualifications in law, business, commerce, finance, or a related discipline. - Working knowledge of legal requirements relating to drafting and managing employment contracts. - Understanding of Australian and New Zealand employment law and industrial relations, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge. - Experience using PageUp recruitment software. - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to draft clear and accurate contractual documentation. - High level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. - Ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders. - Ability to identify contractual risks or inconsistencies and escalate appropriately. - Ability to work with limited supervision in a dynamic environment. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word (advanced formatting, templates, version control, clause libraries), Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.Our Values:As a Visy employee, you are expected to demonstrate a commitment to Visy’s values, which underpin our culture and future success.
