The role also drives HR process automation, audit readiness,and governance across compensation-related functions.Job ResponsibilitiesCompensation & Benefits Management Design and manage salary structures, pay bands, and compensation frameworks aligned withmarket benchmarks and internal equity. Lead annual salary increment and promotion cycles, including budgeting, modeling, andapprovals. Conduct compensation benchmarking using market surveys and industry data to ensurecompetitiveness. Manage benefits programs including insurance, retirement benefits, statutory benefits, andperquisites. Support leadership with compensation cost analysis and scenario planning.Incentive & Variable Pay Programs Design and administer production incentive schemes for plant and shop-floor employeesaligned with productivity, quality, and safety metrics. Develop and manage sales incentive policies linked to revenue, margin, collections, and growthtargets. Ensure clarity, transparency, and periodic review of incentive plans to drive performance. Monitor incentive payouts and validate performance data in coordination with business teams.Payroll, Taxation & Statutory Compliance Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality. Manage income tax computation, deductions, declarations, and year-end processes. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, gratuity, bonus, andother labor laws. Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and authorities for payroll and compliancematters.HR Budgeting & Cost Control Prepare and manage the HR budget, including manpower cost, increments, incentives, andbenefits. Track actuals versus budget and provide variance analysis to leadership. Support finance in forecasting compensation costs and long-term workforce planning.HR Process Governance, Audits & SOPs Lead internal and external audits related to payroll, compensation, and benefits. Identify gaps, risks, and control weaknesses; design and implement corrective actions. Define, document, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for compensation,payroll, and incentive processes. Ensure strong process controls and audit trails across HR systems and transactions.HR Process Automation & PMS Administration Drive HR process automation initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity. Administer Performance Management System (PMS) in the HRMS, including goal cycles,ratings, and linkage to variable pay and increments. Partner with IT and HRMS vendors for system enhancements and issue resolution.ESOP & Long-Term Incentive Administration Manage ESOP administration, including grants, vesting schedules, exercises, and employeecommunication. Coordinate with legal, finance, and external advisors for ESOP compliance, valuation, andreporting. Maintain accurate ESOP records and support audits and disclosures.Communication & Internal Governance Draft and issue internal circulars, policy updates, and compensation-related communications. Ensure clarity and consistency in employee communication on pay, benefits, incentives, andpolicy changes. Act as a key advisor to HR Business Partners and leadership on compensation matters.Skills, Abilities & Knowledge Strong analytical and problem-solvingmindset. Excellent communication, relationshipbuilding, and stakeholder management. In-depth knowledge of CTC components,statutory deductions, and compensationframeworks. Ability to manage volume hiring and work ina fast-paced environment.
