SQA Analyst

Essential Responsibilities and Duties- Design and execute test cases for user stories, exploratory testing, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios. - Develop and maintain reusable test suites across releases and projects. - Collaborate with product managers and developers to clarify requirements and ensure testability throughout the SDLC. - Track and triage defects; perform root cause analysis and ensure timely resolution. - Test case development using Gherkin - Contribute to identifying automation opportunities and assist in test data preparation, automation maintenance, and test results validation. - Maintain QA metrics dashboards to support continuous improvement.Required Skills and qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in CS, CIS, IT, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. - 5+ years of manual software testing experience in Agile environments. - Strong experience with exploratory and structured testing across web-based platforms. - 3+ years of writing SQL queries and validating data using MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS Pipelines. - Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps). - Strong communication and analytical skills; comfortable collaborating across technical and non-technical teams. - Self-motivated and able to work independently in dynamic, ambiguous environments.Preferred:- Experience writing test cases using Gherkin or similar BDD syntax. - Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, or REST Assured. - Exposure to automated test frameworks, such as Playwright, Selenium/TestNG, or Cypress. - Experience supporting automation engineers with test data management or maintenance of automated scripts.Key Attributes- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. - Able to operate independently and handle changing priorities. - Strong communication skillsAt Summit Consulting, we are committed to creating a workplace where every individual is valued for their unique contributions, experiences, voices, and backgrounds.
