Role: Research Scientist – Biologicals Primary Screening (Natural substances & Microbes) Experience: PhD (3-10 yrs) / Masters (10–15 yrs) Department: Biologicals R&D (Plant Biologist) Industry : Crop Protection / Agri BiologyKey Responsibilities Manage early screening of natural substances and microbes for crop protection, abiotic stress, and nutrient use efficiency. Design and plan biochemical and biological in vitro assays to maximize resources, efficiency, and outcome. Conduct biochemical and in-vitro biological primary screens to identify promising pipeline candidates. Adapt assays for high-throughput screening (HTS) Build and maintain long-term storage facilities for microorganisms and biomolecules, ensuring their integrity Maintain and propagate microorganisms (fungi, bacteria) in vitro and rear pests. Ensure efficient project execution, documentation, and reporting to the Team lead.What You’ll Bring PhD / M.Sc. in Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Entomology, or Biotechnology from a top-tier industrial organization or a reputed institute. Strong expertise in biological screening, biochemical assays, and experimental lab design. Proven record in biologicals / crop protection industry Excellent scientific communication, project management, and analytical skills. Open-minded, takes initiatives, flexible with the willingness to collaborate across labs and teams contributing to interdisciplinary research. A passion for sustainable agriculture and biological innovation.
