Job Description:
Role : Project Manager - NBE Services Location : Hyderabad Qualification : PhD with upto 5 years industry experience as project management / Masters with 8 to 12 years industry experience with project management. Relevant Experience: Proven experience as managing customer projects for Discovery Biology, Biologics discovery, large molecules business. Project Initiation - Project Proposal: Accumulating proposal details from APSL Marketing team (RFP/RFI/ Proposal /first-cut/ Communication with customer, communication with BD); Understands the business case, project requirements, objectives and define the project scope. - Project checklist: Conduct kick off meeting to agree on appropriate scope & deliverables with the stake holders; Develop project management plan at the macro level (Feasibility, Optimization, plant manufacturing, filing is applicable); First level milestones discussion with new or existing Project team. RASCI Matrix in lieu to project milestones; Project budgeting, contingency allowances; Setup the Project Office and review the project, to gain approval to begin the next phase. Project Planning - Time Management: Time Management Process, ensure the completion of LDM activities, measure actual time spent on the project and identify any potential task slippage early; Monitoring feasibility, optimization and technology transfer to plant as per plan; Timely tracking of Gantt chart against the base plan. - Cost Management: Monitoring budget Vs expenses at each milestone, to have a rigorous process for the management of costs / expenses. Monitor all costs to detect cost variance. document the variance. Prevent unauthorized, incorrect or in appropriate items being charged to the project budget. - Execution management: Ensuring project activities are performed as per plan. Communicate the progress and the changes. Tracking, reviewing and regulating the progress of the project to meet the deliverables. Compares target, planned and actual (schedule/ cost/ quality) and report the variance to the stakeholders. LDM meeting with team on daily basis. - Change Management: Identify the proposed changes and seek authorization for the changes. Plan, execute , control and close approved changes. Ensuring the Implementation of CAPA for the approved changes. - Risk Management: Create a repository for risk information and documentation. summarize risk mitigation plans in each meeting all through execution. evaluate each risk and identify new risks as an ongoing basis. - Communication Management: project plan to be available with all stake holders. Project review/control by conducting weekly PET meetings and fortnight project review meetings (PRM) against the To-do list. - Providing weekly update to customers, conducting teleconferences and circulation of action points/minutes to customers/team members. Project closure - Project Deliverable: Leading PET to complete project deliverables (development reports, dispatch of development samples from lab, product dispatches) - Closure report: Conducting project closures after completion of deliverables, capturing inputs, variances (cost, schedule, quality & scope) & key learnings from all cross function team members. Collate & review of direct & indirect costs of the project. - Ability to Understand the costing models and profitability analysis. Provide necessary inputs for Budget preparation - Post project archival: Collect and review the information from each project phase to present final project closure report comparing the plan Vs Actual with respect to Scope, time, quality & cost. Inventory cost assessment. - List the lessons learnt and key accomplishments. Conduct the project closure meeting; Archive the project documents in the database; Dismantle team form the project. Eliminate access to project folders. Key Account Management - Coordinate and support for identified key accounts for key account managers; Leverage & develop team expertise to fulfil the requirements. Customer audits and visit Coordination - To handle and coordinate customer audits and visits; preparing minutes of meeting; Circulating the observations of auditors to CFTs, Follow-up in closure of observations. Technical Knowledge 1) Understanding on Discovery Biology, Biologics discovery business 2) PM concepts 3) Customer interface experience 4) Good communication skills 5) Knowledge on technical concepts and risk mitigation knowledge
